Disrupting the pool category with energy

Pooled Energy is an innovative pool automation solution that can reduce energy consumption for users and reduce the impact on the electricity grid for Australia. As a ten-year old technology company that had spent important years in development, the brand had been defined for engineers not consumers. Future Trace was engaged by design agency, Alphabet, to lead the brand strategy with the Pooled Energy leadership team.

From brand to customer experience

The refreshed brand strategy included a strong shift towards a customer-first approach, however with a lean team and little transformation experience, the CEO recognised the need for a transformation leader. Future Trace was engaged to help re-design the business from the inside out, starting with a revolution of the product development culture and purposefully crafting the pre- and post-sales experience for the customer. To embed the strategic shift within the business, the Principal sat on the leadership team as an acting head of brand and customer experience.

What happens next

After 12 months the marketing strategy and function, product design and culture, and service design of the customer’s first 90 days, was completed. With the foundation in place, Future Trace handed over the second phase of implementation to a newly appointed leadership team who will deliver the future of Pooled Energy.
